Ghost mannequin photos without the retouching

The ghost mannequin effect, also called the invisible mannequin effect, makes a garment look as if an invisible body is wearing it. Marketplaces and online stores like it because the shape, fit and neckline show clearly and nothing distracts from the product. The classic way needs two shots and manual editing to remove the mannequin and fill in the inside of the neckline.

This tool starts from the single photo you already have. It works best on tops, dresses, jackets, hoodies and similar garments, photographed straight on with even light and a plain background. Back views and inside-label shots are not created, so photograph those separately if your listing needs them.

Ghost mannequin questions

What is the ghost mannequin effect?

It is a product photo style where a garment keeps its three-dimensional shape as if an invisible body is wearing it. The mannequin is removed and the inside of the neckline shows.

What photo should I upload?

One garment, fully visible, shot straight on against a plain background. A mannequin, hanger or flat lay photo all work. Avoid photos with several products or heavy shadows.

Can I upload a photo of a person wearing the garment?

No. This tool is for product photos only. Photos that show a real person are not supported and are rejected.

Will the garment look exactly like my product?

The AI is told to keep color, pattern and cut identical, but details such as seams, labels and small prints can change. Compare the result with your real product and follow your marketplace’s rules for AI images before you publish.

Does it create back and inside views?

No. It creates one front-facing image from the photo you upload.

How much does it cost?

Your first image is free. After that, a free account gets 20 monthly credits (free images carry a small watermark). Paid plans remove the watermark.
